A missing layer, not a missing feature Blockchains natively prove execution, timestamps, hashes, transfers. They cannot independently prove that the actor held the correct, unexpired role at the exact moment of execution. Most systems record actions. Very few record whether the actor had authority. That gap matters in any workflow where approvals, certifications, or regulated decisions carry downstream consequence. The protocol is designed to answer two distinct questions: is this role valid now, and was it valid when the action happened. Both matter. Current status supports live workflows. Historical validity supports audit, replay, and dispute resolution.
