Vitalik has mentioned Buttcoin on Twitter for over a decade, and is an active member of the Buttcoin subreddit which he has posted about Buttcoin for many years. We are committed to following his Buttcoin playbook on ETH step by step. We are doing so by creating content in a step-by-step manner as per the guideline he wrote on Reddit years ago. The project is a long-time joke about Bitcoin sounding like Buttcoin.
